A ?driftwood? finish was developed and applied to the bedroom furniture here, which together with circular mirrors in the rooms, gives a ?porthole? effect and produced the desired nautical feel. Each room had its own peculiarities in size and shape and the furniture was manufactured specifically to fit in each case, as is evident in the slanting top to the open wardrobe.
